When it comes to making money online, most newbie's get funneled into the "made for AdSense websites" direction by various guru's and self proclaimed experts who claim that simple AdSense websites will make you a fortune with very little work. Sadly, this is no longer the case and it's taking more and more work make money online these days.
The true secret to making money online consistently is to give people what they want, and more. This may sound like basic marketing advice and well, it is. The very basics of marketing have always worked and will always work. It is simple - if you can give people the advice, information and reviews they want in an easy to digest manner then you are providing a valuable service to people. When you provide a valuable service to people, they pay you for it.
So what are some of the extreme ways of making money online? Let's think outside the box a little.
Scenario 1: Move from promoting other people's products to creating YOUR OWN products!
Affiliate marketing is when you get the cut of a sale as a customer purchases a product through your special affiliate link. This can be anywhere from $1 up to thousands of dollars depending on the commission rate and the price of the product. Generally it is in the $20-$50 range.
Think about what happens when you promote someone else's product. You are literally handing them customers. They do not have to advertise as you are doing it for them. You may also be reviewing their products, reporting on their latest products and even paying for online advertisements whilst they sit back and watch YOUR customers give them money!
Whilst this is all well and good, imagine if you could get 100% of those sales and keep the money for yourself? It is not as hard as you think. You simply need to come up with a BETTER product than your affiliate merchant. If the merchant is selling a digital product such as an ebook, consider doing it bigger and better by creating videos, audio and even an entire DVD course. Compared with an ebook, you are adding exceptional value and consequently building your own customer base that will serve you well into the future.
Scenario 2: Using Social Networking as a Marketing Platform
YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and other social networking sites are highly popular, but have you ever thought of using them as a marketing tool rather than just for fun?
